About Thomas Melle
Born in 1975, Thomas Melle studied comparative literature and philosophy in Tübingen, Austin (Texas) and Berlin. He has written popular theater plays and has translated works by William T. Vollmann and Quentin Tarantino, among others, into German. His debut novel “Sickster” (2011) was nominated for the German Book Prize and won the Franz Hessel Prize. He followed this up with the novel “3,000 Euros” in 2014 and “The World at My Back” in 2016, both of which were shortlisted for the German Book Prize. “The World at My Back” was translated into 22 languages. Thomas Melle lives in Berlin.
