About Thomas Loibl
Thomas Loibl was born in 1969 in Brüggen and studied acting at Schauspielschule Bochum. He has had engagements at theaters such as Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf, Schauspielhaus Zurich, Staatstheater Munich and Schauspielhaus Köln, where he worked with well-known directors such as Karin Beier, Werner Schroeter, Dieter Dorn and Barbara Frey. During the 2019/20 season, he appeared on stage at Burgtheater in Vienna in Martin Kušej’s “Don Carlo” and “Noises Off”. On television, Thomas Loibl can regularly be seen in “Tatort” and in the first season of the hit series “Charité”. His most recent film roles were in Maren Ade’s “Toni Erdmann” and Sonja Kröner’s “The Garden”, which won the Bavarian Film Award.
