Encore: Entrance into The Third Kingdom – with Karl Ove Knausgård and Thomas Loibl. Book premiere
Karl Ove Knausgård is one of Norway’s most important literary voices. The six volumes of his autobiographical novel series “My Struggle” were a global sensation. Now, the third volume of his wide-ranging novel series featuring The Morning Star, a mysterious bright light that appears in the sky, has been published in German translation. In Det tredje riket [“The Third Kingdom”], 19-year-old Line falls in love with the lead singer of the band Domen and gets drawn into a gloomy world. Police officer Geir is investigating a macabre triple murder, but he cannot talk to anyone about his theory. Artist Tove creates pictures that are inspired by the hidden currents of sexuality and death in fairytales. One day she hears a voice that talks to her and wants something from her. Undertaker Syvert is becoming increasingly worried because days keep going by without any reported deaths. German text: Thomas Loibl; Host: Andreas Platthaus
