About Dimitrij Schaad
Dimitrij Schaad, born in Kazakhstan in 1985, studied acting in Munich and St. Petersburg before celebrating his first major successes at the Schauspielhaus Bochum and becoming a style-defining ensemble member at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin from 2013 to 2019.
Since playing the lead role in the film adaptation of the bestseller “The Kangaroo Chronicles” (2020), he has been appearing more frequently in front of the camera. These include Das Boot (2020), The Kangaroo Conspiracy (2022), the Netflix hit series Kleo (2022), and currently Aus meiner Haut (2022). He also works as a writer for films, series, and plays and lives happily in Berlin.
