The game of life – Hartmut Rosa meets Christian Streich
When a soccer philosopher meets a resonance theorist. This special encounter at lit.COLOGNE brings together Christian Streich, successful soccer coach for more than two decades and moral compass of SC Freiburg, and Hartmut Rosa, sociologist and author of works such as the acclaimed “Resonance”, which examines the search for meaning, connection, and our relationship with an accelerated world. Together, they examine what really moves people in stadiums, classrooms or daily life – and how community, language and responsibility can open up spheres of resonance. Between the soccer pitch and the lecture hall, a lively conversation develops about performance and humility, chance and relationships, time and attention – about everything that matters when everything speeds up. And, not least, they speak about their shared homeland, the Black Forest, and what makes it special. Host: Wolfram Eilenberger
