Smells like KiWi spirit – Songs & texts with Jan “Monchi” Gorkow, Hauke Segert (Feine Sahne Fisch Filet), Frank Schätzing and Thees Uhlmann. Special Guest Mieze (MIA.)
with Hauke Segert Jan „Monchi“ Gorkow Frank Schätzing Mieze Sabine Heinrich Thees Uhlmann
Event duration: 150 minutes, including intermission
Some people are wonderfully multi-talented. Authors who make music. Musicians who write books. Kiepenheuer & Witsch is a publisher that celebrates both: sound and words, pop and literature. Thees Uhlmann, Jan Monchi Gorkow, Hauke Segert (from the band Feine Sahne Fischfilet) and Frank Schätzing are on stage at the Philharmonie – reading from their books, playing a few songs and explaining why music is sometimes the only thing that works. Thees Uhlmann’s work includes encounters with death and Die Toten Hosen, Frank Schätzing goes into space with Bowie (“Spaceboy”), and Monchi tells us what happens when you’ve eaten your fill – or not (“Never Full”). Special guest Mieze (MIA.) plays old songs and new (“Dafür oder dagegen”). It will be loud, honest and beautiful – an evening somewhere between pogo-romanticism and poetry. Host: Sabine Heinrich
