Knut Elstermann and Axel Prahl: “Things You Love Take Time”
Every Sunday evening, Germans gather in front of the television to watch the cult police series, “Tatort”. And if you are lucky, the episode is set in Münster. Because then you can experience one of the country’s most authentic actors: Axel Prahl as Detective Chief Inspector Frank Thiel. But behind this beloved television character is much more than can be revealed on screen. His longtime friend Knut Elstermann has created a multifaceted portrait of Prahl with a collage of interviews, memories and observations. Was man liebt, braucht Zeit [“Things You Love Take Time”] tells of Prahl’s background, his childhood and youth, his early forays into theater, his passion for music and texts and his friendships and love. Host: Marion Brasch
