About Thomas Hettche
Thomas Hettche was born in a village on the edge of the Vogelsberg mountains and lives in Berlin. His essays and novels, including his debut Ludwig muss sterben (Ludwig Must Die), Der Fall Arbogast (The Arbogast Case, 2001), Die Liebe der Väter (The Love of Fathers, 2010), Totenberg (2012), Pfaueninsel (Peacock Island) (2014), and Herzfaden (Heart Thread) (2020), have been translated into over a dozen languages and have won numerous awards, including the Premio Grinzane Cavour, the Wilhelm Raabe Prize, the Solothurn Literature Prize, and the Josef Breitbach Prize. His most recent publication is Sinkende Sterne (Falling Stars) (2023).
