About Katrin Schumacher
Born in 1974 in Lemgo, Katrin Schuhmacher has a PhD in literature studies and studied art history as well. She is a journalist and literary editor for public radio and has been writing since she was able to hold a pencil. She has lived in Bamberg, Antwerp and Hamburg and is now based in Halle an der Saale. Different phases of her career have given her a fondness for literary fantasy, Dutch painting, flowing water and nature writing. After scientific texts, catalog work and essays, “Liste der gebliebenen Dinge” [“The List of Things Remaining”] was her literary debut.
