About Karsten Schwanke
Karsten Schwanke is one of Germany's best-known TV meteorologists. He studied meteorology in Berlin and Hamburg and has been presenting the weather on ARD since 1995.
He also works as a reporter and producer for many other programs, especially science shows, for which he has received numerous awards. The ZDF program “Abenteuer Wissen” (Adventure Knowledge), which he hosts, received the Golden Camera award in 2010. Karsten Schwanke places a special focus in his work on explaining climate change, which he himself describes as “the greatest challenge facing humanity.” With his weather company MeteoCloud, he offers companies and local authorities support with weather forecasts and climate consulting.
