About Güner Yasemin Balci
Güner Yasemin Balci, born in Berlin-Neukölln in 1975, is a journalist, writer, and filmmaker. Until the end of 2008, she was an editor at ZDF for Frontal 21. She then worked as a director for Arte, ARD, and ZDF. Since 2020, she has been the integration officer for the Berlin district of Neukölln.
She has received the Civis Television Award and the Bavarian Television Award for her reporting. Güner Balci is the winner of the 2024 Tolerantia Award for outstanding commitment.
