About Eva Thöne
Eva Thöne, born in 1986, studied journalism, political science, and film studies in Mainz and Tromsø and graduated from the German School of Journalism. She worked as a freelancer for Frankfurter Rundschau, Süddeutsche Zeitung, taz, Die Zeit, and ZDF before becoming an editor at SPIEGEL ONLINE in 2016. Since 2019, she has been head of the culture department at DER SPIEGEL. Her book “Weibliche Macht neu denken” (Rethinking Female Power) was awarded the ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS non-fiction prize in 2025.
