About Erika Thomalla
Erika Thomalla, born in 1986, is a professor of book studies and digital book culture at LMU Munich, where her research focuses on contemporary literary life and the history of pop literature and pop journalism. As a literary critic and essayist, she writes for publications including FAZ, Süddeutsche Zeitung, and Freitag. Together with journalist Mladen Gladic, she hosts the podcast “Literatur im Betrieb” (Literature in Action).
