In “Der Kinderfresser kommt! Keine Angst vorm Monster unterm Bett” [“The Child Eater’s Coming! Don’t be Afraid of the Monster Under the Bed”], actor Dietmar Bär and author Klaus Strenge lend their voices to the various characters, supported by Andrea Herrmann (host) and Peter Wieschermann (music). Together, they use music, sound and humor to tell the story of the encouraging monster, the Child Eater, who this time comes to the aid of twins Nessi and Billi. Nessi is having problems learning to read and Billi is afraid of the dentist. It’s lucky that the Child Eater always knows what to do – with the support of the audience as noise-makers, readers and lots more. The LIVE audio play project is recommended by the German Ministry of Education and is part of the “Leseförderung NRW” [Promoting Reading in North Rhine-Westphalia] project. It gives children a platform and a chance to boost their reading skills – with amusing and exciting stories, fun and music!
