Oh, a fanfare! Elke Heidenreich and a declaration of love.
Elke Heidenreich loves literature and shares this love with millions of enthusiastic fans. In Ach, eine Fanfare! [“Oh, a Fanfare!”], she collects her greatest reading memories and condenses what has been a driving force throughout her life: the search for a fanfare to guide the way. As a teenager, she was entranced by the dark poetry of Gottfried Benn. Simone de Beauvoir taught her how wisdom and suffering are intertwined. And she celebrated Dylan Thomas for his extravagant lust for life, which she also knows well. Heidenreich salutes great authors such as Ruth Klüger and remembers one-of-a-kind artists who became her close friends, such as Tomi Ungerer.
Accompanying on piano: Marc-Aurel Floros.
