Eva Menasse: Seclusion. With Guy Helminger and Navid Kermani
These days, there is hardly any other public intellectual in the German-speaking countries who receives as much attention as author and columnist Eva Menasse, most recently with her clever pieces on freedom of opinion and digitalization, Gaza and anti-Semitism. Now, she is returning to her literary roots. With her debut “Vienna” and most recently “Dunkelblum”, Menasse impressed readers with her humor and ingenuity, literary skill and unforgiving insights into human nature. Her new novel Seclusion takes place against the backdrop of failed marriage. But ultimately, it is an exploration of how we hold on to a life, even when it fails to live up to its promises.
Navid Kermani and Guy Helminger welcome Eva Menasse as part of their event series, The Literary Salon.
