It’s about time, too. I mean, look at the world around you. All this craziness can drive a person crazy. The kangaroo, in any case, is fed up with it all and is starting a rebellion. Who will join?
Marc-Uwe Kling reads from his new book, Die Känguru-Rebellion [“The Kangaroo Rebellion”].
“I’m rebelling!”, the kangaroo yells as it comes into the kitchen.
“Mm-hmm,” I say. “What are you rebelling against?” – “Against the craziness.” “Makes sense”, I say. “Commendable, in fact.”
“Will you join the rebellion?” asks the kangaroo. “If I’m allowed to.”
“Wrong answer. Rebels don’t ask if they are allowed to.” – “Good point.”
“So are you joining the rebellion?” – “I’d love to.”
“Excellent,” says the kangaroo, “now there are two of us.”
