About Saša Stanišić
Saša Stanišić was born in 1978 in Višegrad, Yugoslavia, and has lived in Germany since 1992. His short stories and novels have been translated into more than 30 languages and won numerous prizes. Saša Stanišić received the Leipzig Book Fair Prize for “Before the Feast” and most recently the German Book Prize in 2019 for “Origins”. He has also won the Eichendorff Literature Prize and the Hans Fallada Prize from the City of Neumünster. He lives and works in Hamburg.
