About Georgi Gospodinov
Georgi Gospodinov was born in 1968 in Yambol, Bulgaria. He became known to a broad international audience through his first books, “Natural Novel” (1999) and “Physics of Sorrow” (2011), which were translated into more than 20 languages. Gospodinov has won many accolades, including the Bulgarian Book Award (twice) and the Jan Michalski Prize. In 2023, he was awarded the International Booker Prize for his novel “Time Shelter” (2020). He lives and works in Sofia.
