About Evan Hugo Tepest
Evan Hugo Tepest, born in 1989 in the Rhineland, lives in Leipzig. His novel "Schreib den Namen deiner Mutter" was published in 2024, followed by the essay collection "Power Bottom" in 2023. His texts have also been published in anthologies, magazines and newspapers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and have been featured in exhibitions. Tepest also develops performance works with a focus on queer and trans history, most recently "Das klingt alles nach Himmel für mich" (HAU Berlin, with Duygu Ağal) and "Vorleser*innen" (Westfälischer Kunstverein Münster, with Alex Mounji). His essay "Sind Penisse real?" (2025) was recently published.
