About Eva Umlauf
Eva Umlauf, born in 1942 in Novaky, a “labor camp for Jews” in Slovakia, survived Auschwitz. She earned her doctorate in pediatrics in Bratislava and moved to Munich in 1967, where she worked as a hospital doctor. She later ran a pediatric practice and continues to work as a psychotherapist to this day. In the summer of 2025, she took over as president of the International Auschwitz Committee.
