About Daniela Dröscher
Daniela Dröscher, born in 1977, grew up in Rhineland-Palatinate and lives in Berlin. She holds a doctorate in media studies from the University of Potsdam and a degree in “Scenic Writing” from the University of Graz. Her debut novel, "Die Lichter des George Psalmanazar" [The Lights of George Psalmanazar], was published in 2009, followed by the short story collection "Gloria" (2010), the novel "Pola" (2012), and the memoir" Zeige deine Klasse" [Show Your Class] (2018). She has been awarded the Anna Seghers Prize, the German Literature Fund's working scholarship, and the Robert Gernhardt Prize (2017), among others. Her novel "Lügen über meine Mutter" [Lies About My Mother] (2022) was shortlisted for the German Book Prize and will soon be released as a film.
