About Colson Whitehead
Colson Whitehead, born in 1969 in New York, is one of the most important authors in modern American literature. German translations of his novels “The Underground Railroad” (2016), “Die Nickel Boys” (2019), “Harlem Shuffle” (2021), “Crook Manifesto” (2023) and “The Intuitionist“ (1999) were published by Hanser. He won the National Book Award in 2016 and the Pulitzer Prize in 2017 for “The Underground Railroad”. For “The Nickel Boys”, he won his second Pulitzer Prize in 2020. The author lives in Manhattan.
