About Bodo Kirchhoff
Bodo Kirchhoff, born in 1948, lives in Frankfurt am Main and on Lake Garda. Following his widely acclaimed novels Die Liebe in groben Zügen (Love in Broad Strokes, 2012) and Verlangen und Melancholie (Desire and Melancholy, 2014), he was awarded the German Book Prize in 2016 for his novella Widerfahrnis (Adventure). His most recent novels are Dämmer und Aufruhr (Twilight and Turmoil) (2018) and Bericht zur Lage des Glücks (Report on the State of Happiness) (2021). His latest novel is titled Nahaufnamen einer Frau, die sich entfernt (Close-ups of a Woman Who Is Moving Away) (2026).
