About Arundhati Roy
Arundhati Roy was born in 1959, grew up in Kerala, India, and lives in New Delhi. Her international breakthrough came with her debut novel, “The God of Small Things”, for which she received the Booker Prize in 1997. As well as writing, she devotes her time to political and humanitarian causes. Her other works include “The Ministry of Utmost Happiness” (2017) and the essay collections, “Azadi” (2020) and “My Seditious Heart” (2019). Arundhati Roy was awarded the PEN Pinter Prize in 2024.
