Lyrics – texts and music that bring people together. An evening with Kasalla
Cologne cult band Kasalla join us at this event to talk about their texts, carnival and the special magic that brings people together. Combining local humor, social consciousness and honest emotion, Bastian Campmann and Florian Peil share how their songs come into being – from the first chord to the goose-bump moment on stage in front of thousands of fans. It’s about language, identity and the meaning of home. What does it mean to sing in a city that celebrates music like no other? And how is it possible for songs to build a bridge between generations and worlds? Like hardly any other band, Kasalla represents the new, cosmopolitan Cologne – full of solidarity, tolerance and joie de vivre. Their songs are hymns that unite generations, uplifting during carnival and in everyday life. An evening full of stories – passionate, authentic and simply Cologne. Host: Sarah Brasack
