About Yade Yasemin Önder
After graduating from high school as a mature student, Yade Yasemin Önder studied literature and educational science at Humboldt University Berlin, literary writing at the German Institute for Literature Leipzig (DLL) and scenic writing at the Berlin University of the Arts. She was invited to bring her first play, “Kartonage”, to the Autorentheatertage in 2017, and it premiered at the Burgtheater in Vienna. In 2018, she won the “open mike” in the prose category; in 2019, she was awarded the Martha Saalfeld Prize; in 2020 she received the Literature Scholarship from the Berlin Senate and an invitation to the Heidelberg Stückemarkt competition. In 2021, she won a fellowship at the Tarabya Cultural Academy in Istanbul.
