About Torben Kessler
Born in Bielefeld in 1975, Torben Kessler studied acting, singing and dance at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. Early in his career, he spent two years at Theater Freiburg, followed by long-term engagements at theaters in Leipzig, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Hannover. As a narrator, hie can be heard in numerous audiobook productions, including novels by Hanya Yanagihara, Nino Haratischwili, Sibylle Berg, Colson Whitehead and Arno Geiger. Since the 2025/2026 season, Thorben Kessler has been a permanent ensemble member at Thalia Theater.
