About Stephanie Gessner
Stephanie Gessner grew up in a small village in Rhineland-Palatinate, surrounded by fields and forests. As a child, she liked to collect fun and funny words and think up stories. She studied literature, worked in foreign countries and wrote travel reports for magazines before settling down in Mainz to write children’s books. Once her own children had grown up, she set off on a long journey that led her to many places, including Italy, where she came up with some fabulous ideas.
