About Matilda Jelitto
Matilda is a content creator on YouTube (@mechthildistnichtmeinname), Instagram (@matildajltt) and TikTok (@mechthild). Initially, she focused primarily on analysing German rap lyrics in the style of German lessons, but her content now also covers pop culture, feminism, politics and disability. The latter is very personal to her, as Matilda has a congenital hand deformity. For this reason, the (media) representation of people with disabilities is one of her favourite topics. In her current project, "ein Händchen für Repräsentation", she re-enacts iconic film scenes – but this time with an inclusive cast. Through her detailed and well-crafted music analyses on YouTube, she has made a name for herself in the music scene in a very short time. She is particularly keen to discover and introduce new and young FLINTA* artists. Since summer 2025, she has been hosting her own music podcast, "Feature mit Matilda".
