About Markus Hennig
Markus Hennig worked for many years as a radio journalist and has written for television. He won the Grimme Award for the “Switch Reloaded” parody of classic television show “Wetten dass...?”. He won it once again as editor-in-chief of “ZDF Magazin Royale”, along with the German Television Award on two occasions. For decades, he had never written a children’s book and then came out with two at once: “Waschbär Willi Wunderquatsch – Die Erfindung der Trompetenwurst und weitere verrückte Abenteuer” [“Willie the Raccoon’s Crazy Inventions - The Invention of Trumpet Sausage and Other Crazy Quests”] (2025) and “Die Sekundenochs” [“The Just a Seconds”] (2025). Markus Hennig lives with his family in Cologne and works as a freelance author.
