About Kölnchella
Kölnchella is a young, queer event series from Cologne that originated rather by chance in 2022 from a joke among friends – and has since put together a series of successful events with a CAMP factor. Instead of techno, it focuses on pop, empowering rap, singer-songwriters and diverse live acts, from drag performances to readings – open, accessible and always with the aim of creating a safer space. Organised by queers for queers with an intersectional focus and supported by a lot of volunteer energy, Kölnchella quickly grew into a fixture in the city and now attracts thousands of visitors every year. Today, the event series stands for giving young queer voices space and visibility.
