About Jochen Distelmeyer
Jochen Distelmeyer founded the band Blumfeld in 1990, whose debut album Ich-Maschine (1991) is considered groundbreaking for German-language pop music. With albums such as L'État et Moi and Old Nobody, the band toured internationally and reached the German singles charts with songs such as Tausend Tränen tief and Wir sind frei. After Blumfeld broke up in 2006, Distelmeyer released the albums Heavy (2009), Songs From The Bottom Vol. 1 (2016), and Gefühlte Wahrheiten (2022) as a solo artist. His debut novel, Otis, was published in 2014.
