About Eva Mattes
Eva Mattes, born in 1954, has been performing on stage and in front of the camera since she was 12 years old. Since 1966, she has played leading and supporting roles in around 200 feature films, television films, and theater productions, and has been honored with numerous prizes and awards. From 2002 to 2016, she played the role of Inspector Klara Blum in the TV crime series Tatort, set in Konstanz on Lake Constance. She has now recorded around 100 audiobooks, including the complete works of Jane Austen, and travels around the country with her song recitals, which tell of emigration and the loss of home.
