About Edgar Selge
Edgar Selge was born in 1948 and grew up in Herford in North Rhine-Westphalia. He completed his acting studies in 1975 at the Otto Falckenberg School of the Performing Arts in Munich. Prior to that, he studied philosophy and German literature in Munich and Dublin as well as classical piano in Vienna. He is one of Germany’s best-known character actors and has won numerous awards for his work. He made his debut as an author with “So You Finally Found Us” (2021). That book spent weeks in the top-10 bestseller list and was enthusiastically acclaimed by the press and the public. It won the City of Fulda’s literature prize as well as the people’s choice award sponsored by radio station Bayern 2. “Jura’s Last Winter” (2026) is his second novel.
