About Dörte Hansen
Dörte Hansen was born in Husum in 1964. After studying linguistics, she worked as a journalist at NDR and as a writer for radio and print. Her debut novel “This House is Mine” was named the “favorite book of independent booksellers” in 2015. “Midday Hour” (2018), her second novel, won both the Rheingau Literature Prize and the Grimmelshausen Literature Prize. Her highly-praised novel “To the Sea” was released in 2022. Adored by readers and critics alike, all of her books have become Der Spiegel bestsellers of the year. Dörte Hansen lives with her family in North Friesland.
