The Singing Gorilla – songs of mischief, poems and live drawing Suli Puschban, Karsten Teich and the band Kapelle der guten Hoffnung

From age 6. The ship does not depart.

I was lucky. I had Ferdinand. That’s how the book “The Singing Gorilla” begins, a collection of some of the best poems for children. Cheeky, moving, critical – and sometimes completely bananas! Curated by Suli Puschban from Berlin, who is a familiar figure on the songwriting scene. Together with “Cowboy Klaus” illustrator Karsten Teich, the band sings and draws its way through this colorful world of rhyme, meeting a singing gorilla, a squirrel with shakers and an over-excited rat as they wander around town making discoveries. You’ll hear songs such as “Ich hab die Schnauze voll von Rosa”, “Ein Hase im Cabrio” and “Supergirl” – songs to sing, dance and rock to, from quiet and thoughtful to loud and hearty. And they consider questions such as “Who looks like Elvis?”, “Did Suli really meet Lillifee?”, “Do you have what it takes to be a superhero?” and “Who’s big, who’s small?” Songs with a focus on participation and solidarity.
