Mr. Bert and his dachshund Alfonso live in a small town. Unfortunately, because they are both short, the two of them are often overlooked by everyone. But since Mr. Bert’s a detective, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. When a thief becomes active in town and suspicion falls on Mr. Bert and Alfonso, they have to find the real thief before they get arrested! They engage in a wild chase with the police (due in part to Alfonso’s lust for sausages). Young Swiss illustrator Laura D’Arcangelo will also talk about how this book came to be.
