Jean Luc Bannalec and Christian Berkel reveal a secret

The first public appearance by the best-selling author.

Jean-Luc Bannalec has already thrown all sorts of mayhem at us: corpses washing up on perfect beaches and acts of violence in the beautiful Breton village of Concarneau, the “blue city” by the sea. So far there have been eight cases for the occasionally chaotic Commissaire Dupin, which always involve more than simply finding the culprit. Every new volume takes readers to a different corner of Brittany. They are escorted through picturesque landscapes, encounter the quirks of the Breton people and can virtually taste the Breton cuisine as they turn the pages. Breton Legacy is the next volume in the series and will be released punctually in June 2020. Ahead of the release, however, publisher Jörg Bong reveals himself as the author of the series and will be making his first official appearance under his pseudonym. To mark our anniversary, he will be fulfilling a long-standing promise to appear on his home soil. Host: Stefanie Junker; German text: Christian Berkel
