Kübra Gümüsay, born in 1988 in Hamburg, is one of Germany’s most influential journalists and political activists. She studied politics in Hamburg and at the London School of Oriental and African Studies. In 2011, her blog “Ein Fremdwörterbuch” was nominated for a Grimme Online Award. She was a columnist for the newspaper taz and has given many TEDx talks. She co-founded the campaign #ausnahmslos, which won the Clara Zetkin Medal for Women in 2016.
