Hannelore Hoger

Born in Hamburg, Hannelore Hoger is an actress, director and author. She has performed at all the great theaters in Germany and in a number of influential films of German auteur cinema (“The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum”, “Artists in the Big Top: Perplexed”). However, she is best known to a wide audience for her portrayal of the police investigator Bella Block in the show of the same name on ZDF, a role which won her the Grimme Award in 2012. In 2013 she won the Honorary Prize from the state premier of Hesse for special achievements in film and television. Hoger’s autobiography “Ohne Liebe trauern die Sterne” was published in 2017.
