Felicitas Hoppe, born 1960 in Hamelin, lives as a writer in Berlin. Her début novel “Picknick der Friseure” appeared in 1996. Other works of hers include “Pigafetta”, “Paradiese”, “Übersee”, “Johanna” and “Hoppe”. Felicitas Hoppe has received numerous honours for her work, including the Aspekte Prize for Literature in 1996, The Bremen Literature Prize in 2007 and the Georg Büchner Prize in 2012.
