Ingrid Noll was born in Shanghai in 1935 and studied German literature and art history in Bonn. She has three adult children and four grandchildren. Once her children left home, she began writing crime fiction novels, which have all become best sellers. In 2005 she received the Glauser Honorary Prize for Lifetime Achievement. Besides several other honors, she was named an “Honorary Inspector” by the Bonn police department in 2016.
