Senta Berger

Senta Berger has appeared in well over 100 films and on the stages of the Burgtheater in Vienna, Thalia Theater in Hamburg and Schillertheater in Berlin. Ever since her roles in “Die schnelle Gerdi” (1989) and “Kir Royal” (1985), she has been one of Germany’s best-known actresses. Together with her husband, director Michael Verhoeven, she has not only worked as an actress, she has also produced many successful film and television productions. She has won numerous honors for her work, most recently the Grimme Award for Lifetime Achievement. She published her memoirs, “I Knew I Could Fly”, in 2006.
