Rufus Beck

Born in Heidelberg in 1957, Rufus Beck achieved his breakthrough in Sönke Wortmann’s 1994 film “Maybe… Maybe Not”. He won a Bambi award for his portrayal of “Waltraud”. Besides his theater and film work, Rufus Beck is also known as a narrator and producer of audiobooks – especially as the voice of Harry Potter in German. His narrated works have achieved gold and platinum several times and sold more than four million audiobooks. He has won the German audiobook prize HörKules as well as the HörKulino and Golden Akustikus awards. Rufus Beck also works as an author and director and does guest performances with orchestras and bands.
