Maxim Leo

Maxim Leo, born in 1970 in East Berlin, is a trained chemistry laboratory technician who studied political science and became a journalist. Today, he and Jochen Gutsch write best sellers about men who talk and late developers, not to mention screenplays for crime series “Tatort”. He received the Theodor Wolff Prize in 2006. His autobiographical book “Red Love: The Story of an East German Family” won the European Book Prize in 2011. His first crime novel, “Death of a Huntsman”, appeared in 2014; “Death on the Meadow” was published in 2015. In 2019 he published his autobiographical novel, “Where We Are at Home”, which became a best seller. Maxim Leo lives in Berlin with his wife and two children.
