Matthias Matschke

Matthias Matschke was born in 1968 and studied acting at the Berlin University of the Arts. Today he is one of the most highly sought-after German actors. He has appeared in productions such as “Berlin, Boxhagener Platz” (2010), “The Book Thief” (2013) and “The Grand Budapest Hotel” (2014). Moreover, he played Bastian Pastewka’s brother Hagen in the cult comedy series “Pastewka” (2006–2019), the unconventional criminology professor Jasper Thalheim in the ZDF series “Professor T.” (2016-2019) and “posttraumatic stress disorder” in the TNT series “The Mopes” (2021). His most recent role was in the comedy film “Die Geschichte der Menschheit – leicht verkürzt”. In January 2022, he will appear in the ZDF miniseries “The Palace”.
