Born in 1967 in Mühldorf am Inn, Margit Auer has worked as a journalist for publications such as Süddeutsche Zeitung and news agency dpa. After her three sons were born, she started writing children’s books. Her series “The School of Magical Animals” immediately became a best seller. In 2019, Margit Auer won the children’s book prize Heidelberg Leander.
