Jürgen Ritte

Born in Cologne in 1956, Jürgen Ritte is a translator, literary critic, essayist and professor of comparative literature at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. He is a winner of the Eugen Helmlé translation prize. He has translated the works of authors such as Patrick Deville, Edmond Jabès, Paul Morand, Georges Perec and Olivier Rolin as well as Marcel Proust’s correspondence.
