About Fabian Hinrichs
Fabian Hinrichs was born in Hamburg. After initially studying law in his hometown, he then studied performing arts at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen/Bochum. As an actor, director and author, he has helped to shape German-speaking and international contemporary theater, for example, in Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, Helsinki, Oslo, Madrid, São Paulo, Tokyo, Zurich, Vienna, Munich, Hamburg and especially in Berlin. He has also had numerous screen successes, for example, in the Oscar-nominated film “Sophie Scholl”, and as the “Tatort” investigator Felix Voss. He has received multiple honors, including the Max Ophüls Prize, the Alfred Kerr Prize and the Ulrich Wildgruber Prize. In 2020, he was chosen Stage Actor of the Year for the second time in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Fabian Hinrichs is a member of the German Film Academy, the European Film Academy and the German Television Academy. His first non-fiction book will be published in 2023 by Ullstein. In April 2023, Fabian Hinrichs will also celebrate the premiere of his production "Sardanapal" at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin.
